Fans of the Pushpa film series have a reason to celebrate. At the SIIMA Awards in Dubai, director Sukumar officially confirmed that a third installment, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, is on the way. The announcement was made after the Pushpa 2: The Rule team swept five major awards at the ceremony, including Best Actor for Allu Arjun and Best Director for Sukumar.
The Team’s Success and the Franchise’s Impact
The confirmation came as a response to a playful question from the hosts, referencing an iconic dialogue from the film. The team’s success at SIIMA adds to the franchise’s already impressive run. The first film, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), was a blockbuster despite pandemic challenges, grossing ₹350 crore worldwide. The second film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, was an even bigger success, earning over ₹1871 crore globally and becoming the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever.
A Saga of Ambition
The Pushpa series follows the journey of Pushpa Raj, a laborer who rises to power as a red sanders smuggler. The films star Allu Arjun in the title role, with Rashmika Mandanna as his wife and Fahadh Faasil as a menacing police officer.
